The Old Lusaka Boys School was the first government school for children of the European farmers in the surrounding areas established. The school was located on the site originally founded as European school by Dutch Reformed Church in 1908. Works started in 1910 and ended by 1916, the school was fully operational it served as a co-educational until a girls was opened up in 1930 at present Lusaka Girls' School. It became know as Lusaka Boys until it was abandoned in 1959 due to security and other reasons after the current Lusaka Boys School was opened up.[1]

Today
The structure today is used as the Headquarters of the National Heritage Conservation Commission east central region. The site was rehabilitated the rough NORAD funding in 1996[1].
