With the Zambia Under-20 team, Patson Daka participates in the Africa Cup of Nations Under-20 in 2017. In this competition organized in his native country, he starts and plays five matches. He stands out by scoring several goals: a goal in the first match against Guinea, then a brace against Egypt, and finally the last goal in the final won against Senegal. He also delivers an assist against Mali in the group stage. He was also rewarded with the title of the best player in the competition5.
