He migrated to Tanzania in 1949 and then Kenya where he met fellow Zambian [[Nashil Pichen Kazembe]] in 1962.
==Personal life and death==
Juma married a Kenyan by the name of Margaret Njiru. They later divorced and he came back to Zambia in 1980. He lived in [[Lusaka]]'s [[Mtendere Township]] and died in the year 2000 in [[Kabwe]].
