Philip Mutika Jr professionally know as Phil Dill is a hip hop singer and songwriter. Phill is also known to be the founder and owner of the website Zambian Music Blog.
Early life and education
Phil attended his high school at Kitwe Boys High School[1].
Career
Early career
His musical career started at the age of 10 when he formed his own Childhood Band, putting his Childhood friends as band members but unfortunately, the band was deformed when he changed his location, since that time his ‘Dream’ has always been to perform on a big stage with a large crowd or Just to change a life of someone through his music.
Although he started rapping at the age of 12 he’s first studio ‘solo’ track titled No Racism was released in 2009 produced at Chikwa Records in Kitwe, later that same year he moved on and started featuring on ZNBC’s Youth Program called Youth Dot Com (YDC) which used to air on ZNBC Radio 2. In 2010 he joined Campaign Against Self Pity Project (CASPP) and later that year he joined a music group known as Private Label Group (PLG) to which he is proud to be the C.E.O. In 2011 he released his second single titled ‘Come Back’ which featured Yar Fm’s Dj Tanny (former Y – Zone Presenter) and XkoMike (ZNBC Tech Talk Presenter) Produced by Slim Q for Alpha Blue Studios.
Earlier 2012 he released his third single titled ‘Let Me Know’ which features Great Pharaoh and Produced by Tonny Breezy (Now X.Y.Z Producer), this song was a Love It (Hit) on Yar Fm’s (89.9) Hate It or Love It Radio Show. Later 2012 he Released ‘Raise Ur Glass’ Featuring ‘Todd Seely’ from USA. Phil Dill’s First Live Performance was on Y–Zone earlier 2012 when he performed his debut single ‘Come Back’ with Tanny.
Professional career
Mutika started his blogging career in 2011 and later that year he launched the website called Zambian Music Blog to write about news in the entertainment business. Te following year his website was shut down due to high traffic. The following year he got the website back this time on a new domain. After reopening on a new domain the website returned its status after they posted JK's song tiled Paduze. JK shared the link [2] to his song from the website and 2 months later it got its original status back.
