Faith Kandaba (died 24 February 2016) was a Zambian journalist and broadcaster who worked for the state broadcaster Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) for close to 20 years.

Early life and education

Career

Kandaba joined ZNBC in 2000 as a trainee newscaster and was later promoted to news reporter in 2003. She was later transferred to the ZNBC Livingstone Station in the same capacity.

In 2011 she was elevated to the position of Head of Production and Operation at the Corporation's Kitwe office and was in July 2015 appointed Head of Content Research for television, the position she held at the time of her death.

Death

Kandaba died at age 40 in the early hours of 24 February 2016 at the University Teaching Hospital after an illness.

In a statement released by then minister of Information and Broadcasting Services and Government Spokesman, Chishimba Kambwili, Kandaba was described as an efficient newscaster and interviewer who will be missed by the Corporation, the Government and the country as a whole.[1]
