The name later changed to Zambia Mail after independence in 1964. It was later bought by the Zambian Government from private owners. It became a daily Newspaper in 1970 and the name changed to Zambia Daily Mail. A number of changes have since taken place. Sunday Mail and Financial Mail were introduced to widen the scope of coverage. The Financial Mail has since been phased out.

The name later changed to Zambia Mail after independence in 1964. It was later bought by the Zambian Government from private owners. It became a daily Newspaper in 1970 and the name changed to Zambia Daily Mail. A number of changes have since taken place.
