Timmy Mvula

Timmy Mvula was a Zambian musician, journalist and broadcaster for both radio and television at Zambia Broadcasting Services (now Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation). He was a producer, director and presenter who significantly promoted Zambian music from the 1970s through to the 90’s. Some of his notable shows included "Band Stand", "Music Personality", "Time For Music", "This Is My Song" and "What's Happening".

Because of his acquaintance to the music fraternity, he managed to attract mega stars on all his shows.[1]

Early career

Mvula started music during his teen age life and played for a number of band. He composed and contributed a song Think of the Nature on the Chris Mbewe (musician) and Alex Kunda (musician) duet LP Kingdom of Heaven.[1]

Education

Mvula was a recipient of a scholarship to study at Evelyn Hone College where he obtained a Diploma in Journalism.

Death

He passed away in the early 1990s.
