Timmy Mvula was a Zambian broadcaster for both radio and television at Zambia Broadcasting Services (now Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation). He was a producer, director and presenter who significantly promoted Zambian music from the 1970s through to the 90’s. Some of his notable shows included "Band Stand", "Music Personality", "Time For Music", "This Is My Song" and "What's Happening".
Because of his acquaintance to the music fraternity, he managed to attract mega stars on all his shows.[1]

Mvula started music during his teen age life and played for a number of band. He composed and contributed a song Think of the Nature on the Chris Mbewe (musician) and Alex Kunda (musician) duet LP Kingdom of Heaven.[1]
