Zuze was born on 18 December 1942 in [[Malopa Village]] in [[Chief Lwembe]]'s area in [[Petauke District]].<ref name=zuze/> He was educated at [[Munali Secondary School]] and joined the Zambia Air Force in 1965, raising through the ranks to Commander and Chief of General Staff.
