The Kafue Gorge Upper Power Station is a hydroelectric power plant of the Kafue River in Zambia. The construction period was from 1967 to 1973.[1] A power generating capacity of 900 megawatts (1,200,000 hp) was installed in six turbines, producing up to 900 megawatts (1,200,000 hp) each and the current capacity is 900MW.[2]
