Dr Joshua Kanganja (died 15 October 2015) was former Secretary to the Cabinet. He was a law graduate from the University of Zambia and served in various positions until 2011 when he retired.[1]
Career
Dr Kanganja joined the civil service in 1970 and served in several positions among them Director at Zambia Institute of Legal Education (ZIALE) and Principal National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA).[2] He served under First Republican President Kenneth Kaunda as permanent secretary and was appointed High Court judge in 1989, a position he declined. He also served under President Frederick Chiluba as permanent secretary at the Public Service Management Division before he took over as Secretary to Cabinet from Lesley Mbula in 2004. On 30 November 2011, late president Micheal Sata relieved Dr Kanganja of his duties following the expiry of his contract.Cite error: Closing </ref>
