Dexter Chilunda

Dexter Chilunda Jr (died 23 May 2014) was a field ranger at the Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW).

Career and training

Chilunda underwent the ranger training conducted by the British Army where he was best graduating student.

Death

Chilunda was killed by poachers on 23 May 2014 while investigating reports of gunshots in Liuwa Plain National Park. The suspects were arrested on 1 June 2014, about 35km from the park.
