Dexter Chilunda (died 23 May 2014) was a field ranger and head of law enforcement at the Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW) in Liuwa Plain National Park, Western Province.

Death

Chilunda was killed by poachers on 23 May 2014 while investigating reports of gunshots in Liuwa Plain National Park. A reward of nearly $10,000 was offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the shooter. The suspects were arrested on 1 June 2014, about 35km from the park.[1]
