Catherine Phiri is a Zambian boxer. She won the title of the World Boxing Council bantam weight champion by defeating the Mexican boxer Yazmin Rivas on 30th January 2016 in Mexico.[1]
Catherine became the first Zambian to win the linear WBC title after the legendary Lottie Mwale failed at the attempt in the 80s when he lost to Saad Muhammad.[2]
