Following adoption of the 2016 Constitution, Parliament in November 2016 resolved to address lacunae and technical issues through a structured amendment process. In April 2019, the National Dialogue (Constitution, Electoral Process, Public Order and Political Parties) Act created the National Dialogue Forum to validate a draft Constitution Amendment Bill.
